Dropbox was the subject of a hack this week, with small batches of user account information and content released by hackers as part of their demand for payment. Dropbox has denied that their systems have been compromised, and that instead a third party network may have been compromised instead.

We don’t use or recommend Dropbox for a number of reasons (unrelated to security concerns) but if you are using Dropbox for personal file storage, or for business storage, you should consider changing your password and ensuring that the password you use is different to the password you use for other services.
